I’ve used Oh My ZSH for a few years now. ZSH itself has a lot of great features like globbing and tab competition. Oh My ZSH, in turn, extends plain-vanilla ZSH by creating a theme and plugin framework that feels an awful lot like WordPress for your command line.
In any event, Robby’s article on Medium was great. I especially liked the tips at the bottom, for folks who are thinking about starting their own open-source projects. “Don’t start with a wildly ambitious goal” probably stood out to me the most. I often have to check myself on that one.
Give the article a read when you have a chance. And if you haven’t already checked out Oh My ZSH, make sure you do… or just leave me alone with your computer for a moment, cause then I’ll take care of it 🙂
I replace bash with @ohmyzsh everywhere, the moment I have control of a machine long enough to do it. I regard this as a charitable action.
